Aviano AB Commissary’s new Grab N’ Go helps fuel fitness excellence
AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy — The Aviano Air Base Commissary officially opened its new Grab N’ Go facility Sept. 24, 2026, providing fast, nutritious and cost-effective meal options designed to support personnel working around the clock. The new service, open Monday-Friday, 6-8 a.m. and 8 p.m. to midnight, provides ready-to-eat, nutritious options for flightline and maintenance personnel, Security Forces, dorm residents, transient personnel and members of the broader Aviano AB community. By offering healthier choices during late operations and nontraditional work hours, the Grab N’ Go helps personnel stay fueled without having to sacrifice convenience or affordability. For personnel whose schedules often extend beyond traditional meal service hours, convenient access to healthier food options can play an important role in maintaining more energy, readiness and overall well being. The new Grab N’ Go also complements Aviano AB’s continued emphasis on fitness and healthy lifestyles. Providing accessible, nutritious choices gives Airmen and community members another resource to support the fitness standards and culture of readiness that are important aspects of the mission.
